My buddy Adam is headed off for 6 months of national guard training in about 10 days so he asked if I wanted to meet up for a canoeing adventure tonight. We drove up to Blaine and stopped at a guys house who rents canoes. He drove us upriver and dropped us off. He asked how far north we wanted to go and we said “as far north as you want to take us”. Little did we know, this guy actually took us seriously! We ended up paddling for about 3.5 hours (until it was dark) but thankfully were able to spot the guys house in the darkness. Then we went back to my place and grilled up some food (at 11pm)

Canoeing was awesome (especially the giant dam that came up unexpectedly). There are some seriously amazing homes on the river and it was great to spend some time out enjoying the sun. It’s definitely something I’ll have to do again sometime!
