life and stuff
Monday, June 5th, 2006Oy, I’m tired. This weekend was fantastic. Friday I took it easy…I worked way too many hours this week and didn’t get enough sleep. It was strange because I was _really_ cranky for almost 3 days. I rarely get this way and I hate the feeling. Absolutely everything annoyed me. After some good sleep I felt a lot better. Saturday was perfect. I went up to T & S’s place in the afternoon. We went to the pool and soaked up some rays. Then T & I played tennis for an hour and a half or so then grilled up some FAT, delicious burgers. We finished the night off with some bowling and air hockey. I bowled my best game ever and finished with a 171! I’m usually happy to break 100 so it was cool
Sunday I went to church then rode my bike over to St. Paul for Grand Old Days (street fair, parade, etc). It was a beautiful day and nice to be outside. Two of Mare’s best friends from college were in town for a wedding so it was cool to see them again too. I ended up getting 30 miles in on the bike…at least 5 of those miles riding back and forth on Summit Ave tring to find Syndicate St. (which btw, is NOT WEST OF SNELLING…hehehe…I need to stop taking directions from certain people…or at least just reverse them: west => east && north => south). I’m sure the cops that saw me pass them 4 times were a bit curious.
Today I decided to take the bus to work. I’d never done it before so it was a first for me. I had to get up a little earlier but it was good. The buses now all have a bike rack so I rode to the stop, loaded up the bike, and headed for downtown St. Paul. The ride took about 45 minutes but thankfully I had my PowerBook (with built-in bluetooth) and my Treo so I did some work on the ride over. It’s funny to see people trying to catch a glance at the screen trying to figure out what in the world a command line is. hehehe.
I rode my bike home from work to get some exercise. I missed a turn to a “shortcut” and ended up taking the trail along the river most of the way home. The trail was beautiful and there were very few stops. It did add a few miles to the trip though. Then Matty stopped by and we went over to the gym and met up with Mare. I got a few miles in then we all shot hoops. It was fun but maaaan i suck at basketball now. It’s been a while I guess
Then Matty and I went over to applebees for some food and laughs. It was fun to get caught up again.
Well, time for some sleep…zzzzzzzzzz
