kickball

so Mare is playing in a kickball league this spring. I really wanted to play but couldn’t commit to it since I was in Alec when it started. They played last night so I rode my bike over to watch. As it turns out, they were short on guys and needed me to play.

It was so much fun. Of course, the competitive side of me came out and within one inning I had a giant grass stain on my back and a nice cherry on my shin and ankle from sliding into second. Hehehe, note to self…don’t slide when you’re wearing shorts dummy! We got our butts kicked but it was still a blast. :)

Man! That sounds like a _lot_ of fun! That was one of my favorite playground pasttimes.

oh I’d totally go hog wild during a game of kickball too. I mean try and make me care about anything important (taxes, automobiles, insurance, blah blah blah) and you find yourself disappointed, but KICKBALL? oh yes. I would be so bold as to flat out guarantee “best injury” on my first night out.

Yeah, it was so much fun. I did a little trash talking (all in fun of course). I wish I could say I took best injury of the night but our team had a serious panzi who sprained his ankle in the first inning. THe guy tried to look tough and play it out anyway but he said “I just can’t” and proceded to sit on the bench and ice it. Seriously, it wasn’t even swollent. And best of all!? he went to the E.R. that night!!!! i mean c’mon! who goes to the ER for a sprained ankle!? a sissy that’s who!

    that sissy was me =(

hahahaha…you heard it here folks…mitch is a sissy.

did you really sprain your ankle man? how long are you out? I’m guessing frisbee golf season is about to hit so we certainly don’t want you on the D.L.!

haha……….nah man softball season starts in a week……..i gotta start working on my swing so i can break that hitting record i set last year

my favorite mitchell softball story involves an in-the-park homerun that was quite simply the boldest base running strategy ever conceived.

I’m not sure its legitimate to use the words “church-league softball” and “badass” in the same sentence, but thats what I want to do. =)
