got a gig
I just got the confirmation that I’ll be working up in Alexandria for my first consulting gig. I start Monday morning. I have mixed emotions about it actually. Being in Alexandria will be fun but the timing kind of sucks…for reasons I won’t go into.
At least it’s Thanksgiving week (which I had completely forgotten about until I was reminded) so I should get back Wed night. Hopefully they don’t expect me to work the Friday after thanksgiving…it wouldn’t make much sense to drive back just for a day.
Anyway, I AM thankful that I didn’t have to interview with the client! Apparently the two companies have a really good relationship so they didn’t think it was necessary.
