I just signed the papers for my new job. Fujitsu was hopeless at getting back to me and the offer for other company was excellent so I just decided to go for it. It sounds like they have a few projects to put me on and if I’m willing to travel to Alex, I can start immediately after I put in my two weeks notice.

I had a good conversation with my boss today and he was very supportive. He said something like “your problem is that no one will be willing to pay your salary.” hehehe, I guess he doesn’t realize that developers are paid better than your run-of-the-mill IT person. I told him a number and he said “if they get close to that, go for it!” That was a HUGE relief to hear and he also said he’d mentioned it to our CEO who I dread having to break the news to. Screw it! I don’t care anymore! I have a feeling the next couple of weeks are really going to suck though…oh well, better things are in store
