Q-O-T-D: Quote of the day
I just had a meeting with my boss re: goals/compensation for the next year. I was asked to consider a compensation package with incentives based on performance. I put something together 5 minutes before the meeting. My boss looked it over and replied with what will be my first installment of “Quote of the Day”
Boss: “Essentially what you’ve done here is create a compensation package with no risk and only upside.”
me: (smiling): “yes, that _is_ essentially what I’ve created.”
hehehehe, he didn’t find it quite as amusing as I did.

also, if you DO get canned you should consider a job in the lucrative field of Newspaper Dispenser Throwing. You’ll be old enough soon and will be able to join the ranks of those who are “twenty fiiiive…. I’m twenty FIIIVE”

heh. side note: I took the time today to apply for a graphic design job at a larger printing company. I get nervous whenever I do something like that because I hate to dissappoint people but dangit man this is going nowhere and its getting me there fast. w00t!

Good luck with the other job. My advice is don’t worry about disappointing anyone. The world is full of disappointments…they’ll move on…and so will you
