XBMC: Apple QuickTime Trailers

It’s been a while since I caught up with what’s happening in the xbox media player python scripting scene so I spent some time screwing around last night. There are some really cool scripts out there. The only script I had a chance to install was the Apple Quicktime movie trailer script. I have to say I’m super impressed. The quality of the trailers was really nice and there was virtually no buffering time on my DSL….very cool stuff.

Tonight I’m going to install a bittorrent script that screen scrapes from torrentspy.com. The script will either download the torrent onto the xbox HD or save the .torrent to an FTP server, or queue the torrent if you’re using ABC as your BT client.

You can find all the scripts here. http://www.xbmcscripts.com/

One other related thing…torrentspy.com has a firefox search plugin that’s pretty neat. It adds another search engine into the firefox search pane.

XBMC latest cvs builds should have this included as well as a script for grabbing new game trailers.

I have no use for them since the ol xbox isnt connected to the internet ATM but they look pretty smoove. Not to mention they are a mere hack away from grabbing custom television content. weeehhheee!!!

also, you should take a look at the Project Mayhem III skin if you havent seen it. He has done some really amazing things with it.
